Checking In

Hey There! It’s amazing how time flies and boy have I been slacking with my blog posts. Alas, we have one today!

I wanted to check in and share with you what’s been cooking lately. For starters, I want to mention quickly two sales I have going on. Since it’s always fab to save whenever and however you can, I thought I’d make a note of some bargains for you chick-lit readers out there. Right now When Girlfriends Chase Dreams is on sale for 99 cents on Amazon, iTunes, Kobo, and Barnes and Noble, and over the weekend When Girlfriends StepUp is 99 cents on Amazon. Just some fun bargains!

So Amazon’s been adding some spiff moves to their ebook world, including something called Kindle Matchbook. Basically if you’ve bought a paperback of a book from Amazon there just might be a chance you can snag up the e-version for a deeply discounted price, or for free. For all of my paperbacks available on Amazon, if you’ve purchased one and want the e-version, you can have it for free. You should see this little notice below the book’s pricing info.

Amazon also has a nifty book-borrowing program if you’re a Prime member. It’s the Kindle Owners’ Lending Library and is pretty cool, allowing for you to borrow a book once a month for free. It’s been around for a while but if you haven’t heard about it you can check out the scoop HERE. When Girlfriends Break Hearts and When Girlfriends Step Up used to be the only books of mine in this program, but recently I’ve added the When Girlfriends Collection, Books 1-3 to it. Enjoy, Prime members!

To eliminate any in-order-reading confusion of the When Girlfriends books, I recently decided to officially give each book a number. I work hard to make sure each book can stand alone, but since they do fall into a chronological order, and many series or collection readers prefer reading things in the order as happened, each book’s number is now indicated in its description page on the ebook store of your choice. To recap for you, though: Book 1:Break Hearts   Book 2:Step UpBook 3:Make ChoicesBook 4:Chase Dreams  Book 5:Take Chances

And that leads me to Book 6: When Girlfriends Let Go. This book is the biggest book I’ve written, the most difficult, most challenging, and, well…it’s taken a lot of time to get prepped and polished for you! I’d anticipated an autumn 2013 release date and, technically, if I publish it before December 21st, I’ve kept my word. ;) I do have plans of publishing it before then, but I’ll be coming very close to that winter mark. Please bear with me.

Though the wait time for book 6 is a bit lengthy, the good news is that book 7, the final When Girlfriends… novel, won’t be so long a wait for you. It should be here in February 2014 and I'm so excited about it! It’s hard to believe that those girls’ stories are coming to a close. (And I’m now reaching for a Kleenex…)

Okay, that’s the latest. Not particularly super exciting news, but a checking-in kind of update nevertheless. I hope everyone’s enjoying their autumn and getting to break in fun scarves and boots, sipping on yummy cinnamon-topped lattes or warm herbal teas, and curling up with some good reads. What are you reading right now? I just finished Emily Giffin’s fabulous Where We Belong, am working on Stephen King’s The Stand, and, for some fun Parisian inspiration as I work on my own book taking place in Paris, I just cracked open I Heart Paris by Lindsey Kelk.

And as a fun little look at proof that I'm hard at work on those next books for you, this is what the end of a busy writing day can look like!

Happy Reading!
