I caught a great quote from indie-gone-hybrid-gone-mega-author-star Hugh Howey (author of WOOL) on Publishers Weekly the other day. He's a strong believer, like myself, in offering books for free. It's a great way for an author to find his/her readers, a fantastic way for readers to find new authors and books. When asked if he thought giving books away for free devalues the work Hugh had this fabulous thing to say: "What devalues literature is having good books go un-read." I couldn't agree more! I love when I have reached a new reader, when my book has found you and entertained you, and promo-ing or making free some of my titles from time to time helps me do just that.
